EU revised RoHS regulations on lead exemption
The European Union has finally issued the latest exemption Ordinance when the lead exemption clause expires.
On May 18, 2018, the EU Official Gazette issued a total of seven directives (EU) 2018/736~ (EU) 2018/742 amending the exemption regulations for lead content in different substances in Annex III of the EU RoHS Regulations. The regulations will come into force on July 1, 2019.
The corresponding regulations in Annex III of the RoHS code are replaced by the following:
Remarks: product categories:
1, large household appliances 6, electric tools.
2, small household appliances 7, toys, leisure and sports equipment.
3, information technology and communication equipment 8, medical equipment
4, consumer equipment 9, testing and monitoring equipment.
5, lighting equipment 10, vending machine.
11. Other electronic and electrical products not in the above category.
The member states shall publish the laws, regulations and administrative regulations that are in conformity with this Directive before June 30, 2019. This directive takes effect twentieth days from the date of promulgation of the official communiques of the European Union, that is, June 7, 2018.
